VETERANS HOME CARE PROGRAM

Honored VA Community Care Network Provider

Around the Clock Home Care is a proud VA Community Care Provider. We are honored to serve the veterans who have served our country. With our experience in providing in-home services, we help veterans lead safe, fulfilling, and independent lives in the comfort of their homes.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides veterans with comprehensive healthcare benefits through the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Many veterans may be unaware that long-term care services, including in-home care, are part of this standard benefits package. Explore how veterans can benefit from the VA’s Homemaker and Home Health Aide (H/HHA) program.

VETERANS Homemaker & Home Health Aide Services

The VA homemaker and home health aide care (H/HHA) program is one of many home and community-based services the VA offers. The goal of the program is to help veterans remain safe and independent while continuing to live in their own homes. Under the supervision of a contracted home care agency, trained home health aides support veterans at home by providing assistance with personal care, daily activities, companionship and respite care for their family caregivers. The H/HHA program can also be combined with other VA home and community-based services, but availability may be limited.

Veterans Home Care Benefits:

Home health aides can assist the veteran to ensure safety and provide assistance with the following Daily Living Activities:

  • Bathing
  • Toileting
  • Eating
  • Dressing
  • Walking & transfers
  • Medication Reminders
  • Assistance with medical equipment
  • Health & wellness monitoring
  • Light housekeeping, maintain a safe and sanitary environment
  • Laundry
  • Meals, specialized diets, & hydration

Eligibility for the Veterans Home Care Services:

Eligibility for this program is open to veterans who qualify for or are enrolled in the VHA Standard Medical Benefits Package. The VA requires a clinical need for these services, and a copay may apply depending on the veteran’s VA service-connected disability status. The Homemaker and Home Health Aide services can be combined with other Home and Community-Based Services for comprehensive support.
